Conditions: Groomed to perfection!
The Trail has been groomed with the Pisten Bully from the golf course to the parking lot at Old 32. The skating lane has been rolled from the parking lot to CTY F. The skiing is awesome in Lakewood!

There is plenty of snow and the trail was being Piston Bully groomed as we skied this morning. The tracks were firm and the skating lane was still somewhat soft but very skiable. The skating lane should set up nicely tonight and provide for excellent skiing for the weekend.

Conditions: Good.
We received 3-4" on Monday. No additional snow last night. The trail was rolled with the Scandic and roller between the Golf Course and the new parking lot this morning. This included the red trail and the hills behind the golf course. No tracks were set but some of the old tracks were skied in.

Conditions: we received about 4 inches of fresh snow yesterday. The golf course side of Old 32 was groomed and tracked with the Pisten Bully. The North side was rolled and combed with the Scandic but no new tracks were set. There are the old tracks which were skied in and not bad.

We received 2 to 3 inches of dry powdery snow on Dec 29. There is a good base on the trail under this. The entire trail was groomed and tracked with the Scandic. The conditions are very good. (Fred Axelrod)

After this last snowfall the groomers have been out and groomed and tracked the entire system. There are no bare spots and the trail is in great shape. The skating lanes are a little soft right now until they set up, everything else in is in super condition.

When it snowed on Saturday & Sunday to the west and south, it rained in Lakewood. We did, however, receive an inch of snow on top of our base which weathered the rain better than I thought it would. So we have an inch of fresh snow on top of boilerplate. I skated the trail from the new parking lot to Smythe Rd. Monday and was pleasantly surprised. The new snow covered up the bare spots and bonded well to the base making it a fun ski. There wasn't enough new snow to groom so we won't go out until we receive more. The classic tracks from the parking lot to the golf course still remain. You might not want to use your new skis as there might be a surprise bare spot or rock under the inch of new snow. The trails have received no new snow. The temperatures have been above freezing. At 8:00AM the temperature is 33F with a light rain falling. Hopefully this rain will turn into snow as is predicted. (Dale Keller)

The conditions haven't changed since the first snow fall. The snow has settled and become rock hard, exposing more dirt and rocks I was still able to ski around any exposed spots. The entire trail (except brown and violet cutoffs) has been groomed with the Pisten Bully. Tracks have been set from the new parking lot to the golf course. (Dale Keller)

Things have remained quite around here as far as snow fall. The trail has been groomed from Old 32 to Cty. F from the original snow fall a couple of weeks ago. The trail is hard and firm, temperatures have not risen above freezing. The trail has been tracked from the golf course up to Old 32. Hoping for snow possibly later today and into the weekend.

Thursday, December 13, 2007

The conditions haven't changed much in the last week. The entire trail (except brown and violet cutoffs) has been groomed with the Pisten Bully. There are some spots where dirt has been brought to the surface. However the trail is very skiable. Tracks have been set from the new parking lot to the golf course. I skied the entire trail Thursday from the Golf Course to F and back (40 K). While there were some spots where dirt had come to the surface the trail was fast and firm and easy to ski. The only spot I would say to avoid is from the 7K to the 8K marker. That area was recently dozed and there is more dirt in that area. It can be easily avoided by skiing down the red trail bypass.

Sunday, December 9, 2007

The trail has been groomed from the golf course all the way to Cty. F. with the Pisten Bully on the main Blue trail. None of the cut-off trails have been groomed. The access section between the main trail and the new parking lot has been groomed with the Scandic . The trail is good for early season skiing, however there are dirt spots, stubble, and brush sticking through. More snow is predicted this week, 4 to 5 inches; and with grooming, should cover up those spots to make for great conditions. Hopefully we can then track the trail and we'll have a great weekend.

Friday, December 7, 2007

There are approximately 7 inches of snow in the woods. The entire trail system was groomed today with the Pisten-Bully. There were occasional areas where some dirt was brought to the surface. However they are easy to avoid. There are no tracks set. However the skating is good.

Tuesday, December 4, 2007

We have packed the snow from Sullivan Springs to the golf course with the Scandic. There are no tracks set and it is a little rough, but there is plenty of snow.

Monday, December 3, 2007

We received an addition 1/2" or so on top of the 7+ inches we had Saturday. There is lots of moisture in the snow. We packed the trail from Sullivan Springs Road to the golf course with the Scandic. There is plenty of snow for the snowmobile but still not enough to get out the Pisten Bully. The trail is rough and crusty in spots. There are no tracks set. We plan on getting out again before the weekend.

Sunday, December 2, 2007

We received approximately 7" of new snow Saturday. Lloyd went out with the Scandic for the first time this year. He packed the golf course and the hill loop behind the golf course. No tracks have been set yet. He says it packed down real nice. We'll be out grooming more this week so stay tuned.
